Bio
Academically trained to examine things through a historical and political lens, Mattie finds herself continuing to challenge herself in different roles. She has run multiple non-profits, worked in Development, including Capital Campaigns, and has learned many other skillsets for activism both within her local community and beyond.
Education
Her educational background has allowed her to utilize the knowledge and skillsets learned throughout her academic career and apply them to her every day work. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a BA in History (with Honors) and in Political Science with a minor in Middle East Studies. She then accepted a position on the International Relations Cohort at the University of Chicago where she received a MA in International Relations.
Experiences
She sees each opportunity, whether through volunteering or employment, as a new experience to learn from. She currently works in Development for a private high school in Kansas City as well as doing Freelance work. More of these experiences can be found in my resume(s).
